With all this rain, business is bloomin'

What's that outside? Could it be rain? Again? Yup, I think so. We've had so much rain, that I've done nothing but crochet. The upside? Lots of inventory to sell. We're all stir crazy in this weather and want to get outside. But with all this rain, business is bloomin' - - so to speak. Starting out is a rough gig. I'm trying to get more "LIKES" on my facebook page, hoping that will drive folks over to Etsy and my own website. It's slow going. Apparently I'm creative in coming up with cute little crochet ideas (no pattern required), but I can't seem to think of a creative way to get people looking at my pages. Suggestions anyone? I ordered business cards, which was actually a pretty fun process. I'm going to hand them out when folks ask about what the kids are wearing in public...but aside from that, I'm all out of ideas. I'll keep you posted!

what a year it's been.....

It's been a year...a long busy year since I've been on. Quick updates....Had a baby....just one. Jakob Michael is 6 months old tomorrow! Here's the math on the others....Emma is 6, Jack and Abby are 2 years and 10 months, and Foof is 1 year and 10 months old. Yep...that's all of them. In the past year....life has been pretty much the same....busy, busy, and some more busy. One change is that I've learned to crochet to help feed our starving family (LOL)...set up my own site and everything. Come visit me at http://rosesgarden.weebly.com/ You can see the kiddos and my creations, all in one stop. You can also visit my shop on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/CoolCrochetCreations?ref=si_shop I'll be back soon.

So here it is...didn't think I'd be back this soon. I'm here to share my thoughts on being the "Married, Single Mom". Have any of you experienced this phenomenon? It sounds strange, but it does in fact happen. So what is it? It's when you're married to someone who works so many hours...that you are essentially single. Welcome to the life of a truckers wife! You never know when he'll be home..whether to hold dinner or not, or to let the kids stay up to see Daddy....it can be quite the conundrum. I will share with you how to overcome this obstacle and still have some kind of structure in your life. Stay tuned!

Introductions

Hello, hello, hello! This is my first blog and opportunity to introduce myself and my family to you. My name is Kiley Fair and I am stay at home mommy to four beautiful children (another one or two on the way), and wife to my wonderful husband John. We have a fairly crazy life...Emma is 5, the twins - Jack and Abby are 22 months, Sophie (We all call her "Foofie") is 10 months, and we are expecting again. At 12 weeks preggo we suspect twins again, but have opted to wait till 18 months for our first sonogram. Hey...what can I say? Surprise can be fun!

Anyways...this is just a quick intro to our family and what I hope to accomplish here. If nothing else, I hope to amuse you all with some annecdotes from our family. For me, I'm hoping to share the little bit of wisdom I've gained through my life experiences as a mom - from working mom, to single working mom, to full time stay at home mom on a wicked budget!....So...I hope you read and we'll see where it goes!
